The YMCA has 25-yard indoor pool and offers swim lessons, aquasize, aqua salsa, lifeguard training, adult swim lessons, lap and open swim times, and is host to the Pittsburg YMCA Barracudas USA swim team.

All children under the age of 12 must have a parent or guardian (16 years or older) with them in the pool area at all times.

LIFEGUARD CERTIFICATION COURSE
Red Cross Lifeguard certification courses are provided throughout the year as needed.
Both recertification and full courses are offered.

Members: $250 | Non-Members: $300
**Students must attend all dates and times listed below, and will be required to demonstrate competence in lifesaving skills. This is a hybrid course in which students must pass an online test in order to fulfill the requirements for the American Red Cross lifeguard certification. Course fees are non-refundable. Payment of fees does not guarantee certification.**

SWIM LESSONS
We are excited to host group swim classes following the Y-USA Swim Lesson curriculum. This new program was kicked off in October 2023. Swim lessons are offered January through November, starting at age 3.​

​YMCA BARRACUDAS SWIM TEAM​
The YMCA Swim Team provides those who love to swim the opportunity to compete in events throughout the year. The Barracudas welcome swimmers of all skill levels. We provide a positive team environment and are members of the USA Swimming organization. Practices are held five days per week. There are a number of swim meets offered throughout the region in the summer and winter. Children 5 to 18 years old are eligible to join and must be a member of the YMCA to be on the team.​
​
Swim Team practice is Monday through Friday from 4:00pm - 6:00pm each day. Swimmers are not required to swim every day and parents can select the number of days they wish to attend swim practice.
​
Fee: $45 per swimmer per month
​
SPECIAL EVENTS
The Pittsburg Family YMCA offers a number of fun and unique events year-round in the only indoor full size pool in Pittsburg! A variety of events are offered to appeal to families, teens, seniors, couples and more!
