Fall Fitness

ABS, BACK & BUNS

This class is designed to improve core strength and tone the body. Focus is on the core muscles from the shoulders to the thighs, strengthening abdominal and back muscles, increase flexibility, improve balance and posture using a variety of exercises and equipment.  Emphasis is put on proper technique, making it suitable for beginners to the more advanced.

ACTIVE OLDER ADULTS

It’s never too late to feel great! This is a low impact aerobic class for men and women 55 and older. Group fitness helps members grow emotionally, socially, and spiritually, improves overall wellbeing and physical fitness, fosters new friendships and community ties. This quick 30 minute cardio workout, light strength training, and stretching is just the class to improve your balance and mobility.

AQUASIZE

This is a fun, enjoyable, low-impact water aerobic class using floatation aids, done in the shallow end of the pool, which is 87 degrees year round. Exercising in the water provides buoyancy, taking away most or all impact on the bones, joints, and muscles, allowing you to work harder and longer, and burn more calories.

SLOW AND EASY AQUASIZE

Beat joint pain by taking your walking routine to the pool! This class was co-created by the Arthritis Foundation and the YMCA to offer a low-impact class for those suffering from arthritis or any other debilitating illness that may need a slower pace.  This class focuses on range of motion with gentle stretching. It improves cardiovascular fitness and balance.

HITT TO GET FIT

High Intensity Interval Training is a high intensity workout for maximum fat loss and overall health. The first half of class consists of fun and explosive movement designed to get your heart rate up and create a high caloric burn. The second half of class includes moderate level intensity exercises incorporating a mixture of dumbells and body weight exercises. If you’re looking to have a blast while maximizing fat loss, increasing your aerobic capacity, boosting your metabolism or getting over a weight loss plateau, HIIT To Get Fit is the class for you!

POWER PUMP

This is a weight lifting class set to music, using a light barbell while performing high repetition lifts. This class teaches proper lifting techniques, and is designed to firm, tone, strengthen, and define arms, shoulders, abs, chest, back and legs. As you progress, weights can be added to increase the difficulty.

SCULPT IT UP

This invigorating class starts out with a quick warm up to get he heart racing and blood flowing, followed by three rounds of strength and cardio training mixed together.  A variety of routines and exercises are used to allow for more focus on various muscle groups. The goal is to build stamina, and tone and define your muscles. This class allows you to work at your own pace, burning calories, raising your overall fitness and stamina, improving coordination and agility, developing strength through core conditioning, and increase heart and lung capacity through the cardio workout.

SLIMNASTICS

This class combines cardio, balance, strength, and total body toning. Uses a variety of exercises to improve your fitness level and keep you interested. Requiring no equipment, slimnastics slims and sculpts you into a healthy body.

NOON STEP

This class gets your heart rate up and lungs in shape, while toning your body.  It is a high intensity aerobic class, choreographed to music that uses a step platform to target all major muscle groups. Exercises range from beginner to advanced with intensity depending on you and how high you make your step platform.

YOGA

Developed over 5000 years ago in India, this is a comprehensive system for well-being on all levels including physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual.  Yoga is a safe and effective way to increase physical activity, endurance, strength, flexibility, and balance, with focus on posture, breathing techniques, and relaxation, Emphasis is on each individual's ability and comfort level, making this class ideal for beginners to the experienced yogi.

Y POWERBALL

This is a 30 minute, quick, calorie blasting and body sculpting workout using the stability ball to improve core fitness, abdominal strength, and leg fitness.  Participants perform a fusion of cardio strength and stability by performing exercises with a ball.

ZUMBA

This is a dynamic, exciting and high intensity aerobic class choreographed to Latin music featuring Latin inspired moves that provide a total body workout.  Zumba will tone and sculpt your entire body while you have a great time. Zumba is hot, soulful, and the most exciting workout ever! Dancing is not required, if you can laugh and move at the same time, Zumba is for you!

Non-members: $15.00

PERSONAL TRAINING

This is one-on-one personal training for members who want to meet with a trainer to guide them through every workout. These training sessions are tailored to your goals and physical condition. Trainers are certified and will provide extra support, guidance and motivation. These sessions are fee based  

Sign up at the front desk, and a trainer will call you to set up your first appointment.

SILVER SNEAKERS

We have partnered with several insurance companies to offer the Silver Sneakers program as an incentive to a healthy lifestyle.Through this program, participants receive a free membership and access to free fitness classes. This is designed to keep healthy people healthy, mitigate or eliminate lifestyle risks and optimize care for chronic illnesses. Check with your insurance company to see if it participates in this wellness program.
